New calendar

In the last five years, I worked almost exclusively with little children teaching them color theory and basically how to paint.

My love for teaching the subject I love the most, painting, is a dream come true and seeing the response I receive from my kids every class is incredible.

Let me just say that receiving feedback from a child is priceless!
I want to share with you a few sketches drawn under very close supervision :)

(you can see here a selection from the 40 sketches I have drawn in the last 2 months, the rest of them I will keep hidden for now)

Here I am, one year later with a new calendar planned and a big surprise for Vivi’s fans.

Last year all the money I gathered from selling the calendar went to a rescue animal association, and this year I want to do the same.

Inspired by Vivi’s adventures, somebody wrote an excellent short story and kids and adults seem to like my little character a lot.

You can see the rough sketch for the cover here (this is the first iteration, the cover is entirely different right now).

The guardian of the sketches, my sweet Leo <3

… and real feedback from this beautiful little girl <3

She had a lot to say, and she picked August as her month.

I can’t wait to show her what I have sketched for that month :)

Until next time :) (hopefully, I’ll get the hang of it soon and the next blog post will be better )

The Unusual Fox

Hey guys!

Do you remember this illustration? I received a while ago a story from a fan of Vivi’s adventures. This lovely lady wrote a short story inspired by my little artist Vivi and the Unusual Fox. So I decided to illustrate the story.
I can’t wait to show you!

Watercolor art challenge

Some of you already know that I’m a traditional trained painter. I worked almost exclusively with oil colors 9 years (high school + university). Because I love learning new things and experimenting with different art supplies, I decided to expand my horizon learning new techniques. This is the first study from my 30 days botanical art challenge. More flowers and vegetables will follow.

Day 1

Day 2 in my little watercolor art challenge. What I learned doing this mushroom study is that I jump to quickly to dark colors.

Day 2

Day 3 is still in progress…
